  [ES] La electricidad como medio, el sintetizador modular como laboratorio se encuentra dentro de la programación de ENCUENTROS SONOROS en la Facultad de Bellas Artes, UCM.
Taller sobre la síntesis modular sonora. Esta forma de síntesis de audio es el primer paso para crear sonidos y es fundamental para comprender el funcionamiento de gran variedad de instrumentos musicales electrónicos.		   [ENG] Electricity as a medium, the modular synthesizer as a laboratory is a workshop within the program of ENCUENTROS SONOROS at the Faculty of Fine Arts, UCM.
Workshop on modular sound synthesis. This form of audio synthesis is the first step to create sounds and understanding how it works is fundamental to understand of many electronic musical instruments.
 

La síntesis modular sigue siendo fundamental comprender muchos instrumentos musicales electrónicos. Durante el taller se repasa maneras de utilizar el sintetizador en un liveset a través de herramientas físicas y también VCV Rack, un sintetizador modular virtual open source. A través de diferentes ejercicios identificar las características y parámetros de esta práctica.

  

The modular synthesis is still fundamental to understand many electronic musical instruments. The workshop reviews ways to use the synthesizer in a liveset through physical tools and also VCV Rack, a modular open source virtual synthesizer. Through different exercises identify the characteristics and parameters of this practice.
 

Imparte: Guillem Bayo
Guillem Bayo es Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la universidad de Barcelona afincado en Madrid. Ha expuesto en lugares como ARTIUM (Vitoria), Laboral (Gijón), CA2M (Madrid), MUSAC (León), MARCO de Vigo, CAC (Sevilla), Photoespaña (Madrid) y Belle Ordinaire (Pau). Ha impartido talleres en sitios como la Fundación Telefónica, Hangar, Artium, La Casa Encendida o T37.

Coordina: Ricardo Fernández Martín
Ricardo Fernández Martín. Graduado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y titulado en Master de Investigación, Arte y Creación. Actualmente doctorando en esta universidad. Interesado en generar imágenes y situaciones con una actitud activa y crítica, entendiendo la figura del artista como catalizador en cambios de paradigmas. En la actualidad trabaja en proyectos de arte visual y sonoro.

Guillem Bayo has a degree in Fine Arts University of Barcelona, based in Madrid. Ricardo Fernández Martín Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and holds a Master's Degree in Research, Art and Creation. Currently PhD student at this university. Interested in generating images and situations with an active and critical attitude, understanding the figure of the artist as a catalyst in changes of paradigms. He currently works on visual and sound art projects.
